A set of 6 coasters made from the copper stills of a collection of renowned distilleries.

Engineers and coppersmiths from Diageo Ambercrombie were commissioned to create the ultimate whisky accessory to commemorate 50 years of Diageo at the Caledonian Road site in Alloa. The result was this stunning set of whisky coasters crafted from the copper of the stills at 6 major Diageo distilleries: Lagavulin, Glenkinchie, Dalwhinnie, Oban, Talisker, and Cragganmore. There are an estimated 60 sets in existence.

A special set of the coasters from the Royal Lochnagar distillery were presented to HRH Prince Charles in 2018 as a birthday gift and to commemorate the donation of a 1988 Royal Lochnagar cask by Prince Charles to raise funds for The Prince's Foundation. The cask had been laid in 1988 as a present to Prince Charles on his visit for the 140th anniversary of the first royal visit to the then Lochnagar distillery by Queen Victoria.

The coasters read:

Glenkinchie: This coaster was cut from the ogee of the wash still at the Glenkinchie distillery installed in 1980 - replaced 2008. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site

Oban: This coaster was cut from the swan neck of the wash still at the Oban distillery installed in 2003 - replaced 2010. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site
