Glenlivet 1954 27 year old Cadenhead dumpy
What a bottle. This 27 year old Glenlivet was distilled in 1954 and bottled in Cadenhead’s dumpy bottle in 1981. This is an icon of Cadenhead’s early releases from an era when Glenlivet was the king of single malt whisky.
Cadenhead Dumpy
Cadenhead is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland and their vintage releases command a premium. The Dumpy series has arguably one of the most diverse designs in the Cadenhead collection with over 300 different labels recorded and a rumour that up to 400 versions of the label were created. The Cadenhead Dumpy is famed for its black label with bold white font, bordered by either white or gold Scottish thistles and is a real eye-catcher with collectors.
We can only find record of a Glenlivet 1954 27 year old Cadenhead’s Dumpy being at auction once before and, we cannot find it anywhere at retail, so this really is a fantastic chance to fill a gap in your collection or add to your portfolio.
